  1. Box jellyfish


    Or also known as "sea wasp" is considered as the most venomous marine animal ever existed. They have a four distinct side hence they get their name. This pale blue and transparent in color with bell-like shape creature comprises 15 long tentacles that can reach 3 meters in length and has about 5000 stinging cells the pump nematocysts into the skin once it gets contact. Once stung with its tentacles the chance of survival is nearly impossible. Although box jellyfish are primary live in Northern Australia but they can be found largely in tropical oceans like Indo-Pacific, Atlantic and East Pacific.

  2. Cone Snail


    Behind the mesmerizing bright colors and captivationg patterns of cone snail lie a life threatening toxic vemon that is enough to paralyze prey instantly. Larger species sting could pose real threat and fatal to human beings. Moving in slow motion they catch faster-moving prey in a way of harpooning a venomous substance with different toxins on it. Depending on the species of cone snail a single sting can kill a human being. Since there is no antivenom for cone snail stung the only remedy is to keep the victim alive until the effect of the toxins passes off. Interestingly, the shells of this venomous invertebrates creature are bought by shell collectors with a high prize tag.

  3. Blue-ringed Octopuses


    There are four species of blue-ringed octopus but only three species are confirmed while the validity of the taxonomy of the fourth is still questioned. This crab-and-shrimp-eating octopus with size as small as 5-8 inches carries a venom strong enough to kill a human and what makes it even worse there is no antivenom available for blue-ringed octopus sting. They are mostly found in the waters of New South Wales and South Australia to the tide pools in the Pacific Ocean.

  4. Inland Taipan


    Another common names are small scaled snake or fierce snake of Australia. May not be the deadliest snake and is shy and reclusive but it is the most venomous snake in the world based on LD50 test. Each bite would measure as much as 110mg of venom consisting Taipoxin and protease enzymes but the good news is there is an antivenim available for the snake bite. To prove its record, Inland Taipan's bite has a death toll of 40,000 people every year.

  5. Poison Dart Frog


    A member of Dendrobatidae family and ingenious to to Central and South America, poison dart frogs are the most brilliant and stunning colored bodies on Earth but looks can be deceiving. What lies behind this beautiful colors is the fact that how deadly this animal would be. They secrete lipophilic alkaloid toxins in their skin as a form of chemical defense against their predator. Depending of the species vary their toxicity and the most poisonous dart frog species is the Phyllobates terribilis or the Golden Poison Frog which can kill up 20 men.
